PROGRAMS

In addition to providing food for many food insecure residents in Northwest Arkansas, the NWA Food Bank operates several programs to reach the most vulnerable in our community.

PARTNER AGENCY

The Northwest Arkansas Food Bank works with about 150 partner agencies including food pantries, soup kitchens and shelters to distribute food to Benton, Carrol, Washington and Madison counties. Once food is received, it is distributed among partner agencies to be given to those in need. To see a map of the agencies in Northwest Arkansas, click here.

SENIOR MOBILE PANTRY

After a life time of working hard, many seniors find themselves on a fixed income struggling with health and nutrition challenges. Senior citizens, ages 60 or older, face a greater risk of hunger due to medical and mobility issues that can hinder their access to food. These challenges that a senior must face every day, often forces individuals to choose between paying for food and buying medicine. The Senior Mobile Pantry is a program which addresses the unique challenges of senior hunger. With your help, we can secure and distribute meals, groceries and fresh produce to senior citizens. More than that, we can give hope, compassion and support to the ones who still have so much to give. Want to volunteer? Click here

SNAP OUTREACH

SNAP, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (formerly known as Food Stamps) is a safety net which provides low income families, children and senior citizens with the resources they need to feed themselves and their families. SNAP Outreach services with the Food Bank assists individuals in applying for SNAP benefits and educates individuals on the possible benefits available.
