On April 2nd, Tyson sponsored their annual “Lift Up America” event at the University of Arkansas. With the help of about 40 Razorback Athlete volunteers, 40,312 pounds of frozen protein were loaded and distributed to a total of 76 Northwest Arkansas Food Bank agencies. Foods that are high in protein are one of the most sought after products, but not regularly available to those in need. This is the 10th year that the Razorback athletics have generously given their time to participate in Lift Up America.

The month of April was “Volunteer Appreciation Month” in which non-profit organizations around the nation give thanks to all of their hard working volunteers! Without the help of volunteers at the Food Bank, we would not have been able to distribute 8.2 million pounds of food in 2015 to those in need. Thank you to the Razorback Athletes who participated in Lift Up America and all other volunteers who generously give their time to get much needed food to those in need in Northwest Arkansas!
