Land O'Lakes Donates 40,000 Pounds to the Food Bank

The last week of June, the NWA Food Bank received 40,000 pounds of Reduced Fat Macaroni & Cheese Entrée with Whole Grain.

This is the Land O’Lakes First Run Program’s 103 donation since it was established in 2010. The program is committed to donating truckloads of fresh product year round, made specifically for food banks to help alleviate hunger nationwide.

“We are extremely grateful to Land O Lakes for this donation. It will have a definite impact on the hunger insecurity of our four county service area. The frozen macaroni and cheese is not only tasty, but easy to prepare. Nearly 130,000 Northwest Arkansans (1 in 4) do not know where their next meal is coming from. This donation will address that need for many,” said Northwest Arkansas Food Bank’s President/CEO Kent Eikenberry.
