New Senior Mobile Pantry Location

One of the programs that the Northwest Arkansas Food Bank offers is the Senior Mobile Pantry. Senior Mobile Pantry, which was started in 2010, operates as a supplemental food source to low income senior citizens aged 55 and older. Because of the unique challenges that seniors face such as lack of mobility, medication needs, health status, and other physical limitations, food insecure seniors are especially vulnerable to the risks associated with hunger. Senior Mobile Pantry looks to address these needs by bringing healthy and sustaining food to the places that are most convenient for seniors: senior apartments, senior centers and local community buildings.

To meet the growing need in Northwest Arkansas, the NWA Food Bank has added an additional drop for seniors to have access to food resources in Bella Vista. Starting on September 8th and continuing the 2nd Thursday of every month, the NWA Food Bank will begin distributing groceries to low income seniors at the Bella Vista Fire Station 4 at 1629 Forest Hills Blvd, Bella Vista, AR 72715.
