“Supporting the Northwest Arkansas Food Bank through Arkansas Gives is a great way for our donors to feed hungry families while joining other philanthropists from around the state to support their favorite causes,” said Mike Williams, director of development for the Food Bank. “Participation is important to us because it is a day for people to focus on community service,” said Austin Harms, community engagement coordinator for the Food Bank. “It is also a way for us to gain visibility as an agency.

The minimum donation is $25 and can be made with either a credit or a debit card, he said.

For the Food Bank, every $25 donated is equal to 275 meals to help feed those with food needs in the four-county area – Benton, Carroll, Madison and Washington. The Food Bank serves more than 150 agencies in the area. “A day like this can have a huge impact on meeting the food needs of our communities,” Harms said. “When the community bands together.
