Food Bank participates in Arkansas Gives drive

The Northwest Arkansas Food Bank received $4,928 from its participation in the annual statewide Arkansas Gives drive on April 6.

Under the one day, online giving drive, 37 participants made their contributions at www.arkansasgives.org to the Food Bank.

The non-restricted donations could provide approximately 54,208 meals to the food insecure in the four-county area – Benton, Washington, Carroll and Madison. The Food Bank works with more than 150 allied agencies in the four-county area.

Mike Williams, director of development, was pleased with the results of the drive.

“It represents a lot of meals to those with hunger needs,” Williams said, “And we’re thankful for the money that was donated.”
